What is a Coach?
A coach is a mentor, manager, personal trainer
and ally who notices your strengths, innate gifts
and talents and holds your feet to the fire.
A coach assists you to clarify your desires,
uncover limitations and encourage you to create
the life you want. While looking forward, a
coach motivates, inspires and provides useful
information and tools to assist you in managing
and balancing the everyday stresses, challenges
and transitions of life.
The product of the work the client and coach do
together is action and learning. These two
forces, action and learning combine to create
change. Personal growth and transformation
naturally occur as you utilize the powerful
alliance with a coach to accelerate your
learning, expand your capabilities and reach
for your goals and dreams.
My Philosophy
As your coach I show up in the relationship with compassion,
understanding, respect, safety, trust,
accountability and life experience enabling you
to feel heard and understood. I meet you where
you are in your process of self discovery
and provide tools to access all of your being
so you become clear to operate a purposeful,
balanced life.
Once we determine the goals or intentions you
want to create, I act as a mentor who believes
in you, a manager to help clarify your intentions
into realistic steps, a personal trainer that keeps
you moving along in the direction you intend and a
mirror to reflect back who you truly are at
the core.
I believe that individuals are whole and perfect.
As a whole being, I engage all aspects of the
individual; intellectual, emotional, physical,
spiritual and energetic. Individuals are not simply
emotional and intellectual; we have thoughts,
ideas and emotions but they do not define who we
are; although oftentimes this is the only aspect
we focus on when doing personal growth work.
I offer a variety of tools for becoming clear
and present in the moment. Through breathing,
meditation, present mindfulness, body awareness,
and various other forms of body 'awakening' we
can begin to access our physical bodies to help
ground and center us so we listen to our
intuition or gut when making decisions and
responding to circumstances. Becoming aware of
our physical bodies also allows us to process
and let go of certain experiences or limiting
beliefs held in our body.
By understanding the Inside Out Model*
you gain clarity about your authentic self.
You clarify values, notice preconceptions
and learn to let go of limiting thoughts
and beliefs that no longer serve you. The
simple act of noticing and choosing allows
positive, intentional shifts to occur.
Fulfillment occurs with practice, persistence,
and patience.
